3. Pricing and Payment

All prices are listed in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and include Goods and Services Tax (GST) unless stated otherwise. Prices are subject to change without prior notice. The price displayed at the time of your purchase is final.

We accept multiple payment methods, including bank transfers, credit cards, and approved financing. Full payment or financing approval is required before delivery of the vehicle.

4. Vehicle Orders and Delivery

4.1. Order Confirmation

Your order constitutes an offer to purchase a vehicle. Sterling Japan NZ Ltd reserves the right to accept or decline your order for any reason.

4.2. Delivery

We offer nationwide vehicle delivery. We display estimated costs for some cities in New Zealand. The actual delivery cost may vary depending on the shipping partner and the time of booking. During the transaction, we will notify you of the final delivery cost, which will be the definitive charge. While not all cities are listed on our website, this does not mean our delivery services are limited to those locations. We can deliver to any city within New Zealand, and customers are encouraged to discuss delivery details with us during the transaction negotiation phase.

4.3. Inspection

You are encouraged to inspect the vehicle upon delivery to ensure it meets your expectations. Any issues should be reported immediately.

5. Returns and Refunds

At Sterling Japan NZ Ltd, we aim to ensure customer satisfaction with every purchase. Our Returns and Refunds Policy is outlined below:

5.1. Eligibility for Returns and Refunds

  • Consumer Guarantees Act 1993: Under New Zealand law, you are entitled to a refund, repair, or replacement if the goods you purchase are faulty, do not match the description provided, or are not fit for purpose.
  • Change of Mind: We do not offer refunds for a change of mind. Please choose carefully before making a purchase.
  • Incorrect Orders: If you receive a vehicle that is not as ordered, we will cover the cost of return shipping and provide a full refund or exchange.

  1. Notification: To initiate a return, please contact us within 5 business days of receiving your vehicle. Provide your order details and the reason for the return.
  2. Condition: All vehicles must be returned in the condition they were received, including all original accessories, documentation, and packaging.
  3. Shipping: We will arrange and cover return shipping for returns due to faults or incorrect orders.
  4. Inspection: Upon receiving the returned vehicle or product, we will inspect it to verify its condition. Refunds or exchanges will only be processed after this verification.

5.3. Exclusions

  • Custom Orders: Vehicles customized or specially ordered for you are not eligible for refunds unless they are faulty or do not meet agreed specifications.
  • Usage and Installation: Damage caused by misuse, unauthorized modifications, or improper installation will not be eligible for a refund.

5.4. Refund Processing

  • Approved refunds will be processed within 20 business days after inspection and credited to the original payment method unless otherwise agreed.

6. Financing and Trade-In Vehicles

6.1. Financing Options

We provide financing options for most eligible visa types and international driver’s license holders. All financing applications are subject to credit approval and additional terms outlined during the financing process.

6.2. Trade-In Vehicles

Sterling Japan NZ Ltd accepts trade-ins under the following conditions:

  • Trade-in vehicles must have clear titles.
  • Vehicles should meet inspection criteria and be free of major mechanical issues.
  • Trade-in valuations are final and non-negotiable.

7. Warranty

All vehicles sold by Sterling Japan NZ Ltd do not come with a free mechanical breakdown warranty. Customers have the option to purchase mechanical breakdown warranties and other insurance products for future protection. These services are offered in partnership with leading finance institutions and banks in New Zealand.
